The Moreno Wedding | The Elm Estate, Reno, NV | Style with Ash
We got our photos back from The Moreno Wedding Day, AKA the best day of my life because I got to marry the hottest guy on earth. Looking back through these photos gives me all of the feels and it, no lie, makes me want to get married over and over again. It was the best day ever.
So just a warning, this is going to be a really long post full of pictures and little descriptions of all of the styling pieces and amazing vendors that were apart of our special day! We had the best vendors and I worked my booty off for many months to make this day everything we ever dreamed. :’)
BUT if you are just here for the pretty pictures, no need to read everything— just scroll through and enjoy all of In Frames Photography’s master pieces!
It’s All in the Details
So maybe it’s just because styling is my job, but I definitely believe it is all in the details. And I wanted every detail of the day to show off our relationship and love for each other and just overall how unique we are. I am going to take you through each part of the day so you can see all of the fun things we came up with!
Invitations + Some Other Little Things
We went with my girl, Sommer from The Pretty Little Paper Company to design our save the dates and invitations. I also had a friend (and super talented artist), Alyssa of Dubois Creatives create the floral background that we used throughout some of our wedding signage.
My wedding band was custom made by D St. Designs and they were able to use some of the diamonds from my mother’s engagement ring in it. It is by far my favorite accessory these days.
Bride + Groom Wardrobe
Matthew and I have always been the couple that 1) dresses up a lot and 2) somehow ends up matching each other every time we go on a date— not planned! Basically, we love being super fashionable. When it was time to pick outfits for our own wedding, we knew we were going to do something that would shock people a bit.
Since Matthew was a young lad, he always wanted a purple, crushed velvet jacket. Although it wasn’t purple, we still made that man’s dreams come true and he looked mighty fine if I may say so myself *insert so many heart eyes*! The jacket was custom made by Polyesthers here in Reno and she did a fantastic job!
When they asked what kind of dress I was looking for, my only word was “unique” and I think I accomplished that goal. I actually started crying when I first put it on.
The other thing we payed attention to were the shoes. We love shoes, so naturally, we went big. My burgundy shoes for the ceremony were Michael Kors and matched Matthew’s jacket, the flowers, and the special ribbon that our florist ordered from Honeysilks.
Matthew’s shoes were from Steve Madden and had black rhinestones all over them and mine were velvet.
We were extra and we loved every second of it— until our feet started hurting.
After we finished taking pictures, I changed into my Louis Vuitton boots that my ever-so-loving parents gifted me upon graduating college (because what else does a stylist need other than the cutest pair of shoes ever.)
And they were much comfier than the burgundy shoes for dancing the night away!
And yes… I wore a crown! It was made by Amaroq Design and I wish I could wear it every day of my life.
I wanted all of my girls to wear different things that they each felt flattered them the best because I know it’s hard to get one dress that looks good on 6 different body types. They all found their dresses on different websites and I honestly never saw all of them together, in person until the morning of the wedding and let me just tell you, it is really hard to match blush colored dresses, so I was nervous.
But, after many texts asking for them to take their dresses outside to send me photos, it ended up all working out and my babes matched so well!!!
Also, I must note that all of my bridesmaids are really hot.
And now for the men. They were easy, except for the fact that I was still texting them to get their ties not even a week before the wedding. But they pulled it off and they all looked super handsome— almostttt as good looking as my girls ;)
And the last little thing, I had Alyssa from Dubois Creatives hand paint unique designs on the back of jean jackets as each of their bridesmaid gifts! Alyssa did an amazing job and they all loved their jackets!
My Glam Squad
Going to keep this one short and sweet because I talk about them all the time, but Moriah from Pretty in Pera did my makeup, Allie Vidal from Lokal Salon did my hair + my bridesmaids’ hair, and Madison Maestretti did all of my bridesmaid’s makeup.
They are seriously all the best and made all of us look our best. I don’t think I’ve ever felt prettier than on this day. :’)
I have mentioned them before, but my friends over at Aguilera Everything are wildly talented and created this arbor for us. I come to them with things that I need built that I would have no idea where to even start and then they just create things beyond what I could’ve expected. This arbor was absolutely perfect.
And the signage on it was made by Kelrose Designs. It reads, “Lovers at first sight in love forever” which is a lyric from our first dance song (we are both secretly old people and couldn’t pass up the classical tunes.)
I have to take a hot second to talk about the flowers. Camryn of Helianthus Floral Design made all of my floral dreams come true and then some. Not only is Camryn one of my most favorite creatives to hang out with, she creates things that are simply stunning and I wholeheartedly believe she is one of the best florists in Reno and probably in Nevada in general.
Camryn and I had a few meetings and discussed different design options and we sent tons of photos back and forth for bouquets and wall installations and what she came up with for the final product was beyond perfect.
My bouquet was like 3x the size of my head, which was pretty much my biggest floral request, my bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous, the installations on the walls were everything I hoped for, and our guests truly thought it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to. And much of those thanks go to Camryn.
This seating chart was my baby. The Moscow mule shot glasses were the first thing I bought for the wedding and I wanted them displayed with the seating chart. So Kelrose Designs wrote all of our guests names in calligraphy and she created all of the wildflower table marker drawings. Matthew and one of his groomsman, Zane, ended up putting hooks on the first row and then Matt’s dad and brother took over from there.
Also, huge shoutout to my bridesmaid, Cassidy, and my Maid of Honor, Sam, and my mom, because I would not have finished this without them. They pretty much cut everything for me or tied name cards on to napkins. Actually, they just did everything I needed, whenever I needed it and I am eternally grateful for all of them.
This globe sign-in was one of my favorite pieces also. And now it sits in our house as home decor!
Matthew and I love a good meat and cheese plate, so we asked Roundabout Catering if they could go ahead and make a charcuterie spread for our cocktail hour. I didn’t actually even see the spread or eat from it, but these pictures show it was obviously gorgeous! And the extra touches of greenery that Camryn installed made it even prettier.
Awesome and weird, I know. We had a black cake. And I loved it. I also got a fun little grooms cake with ganache on top (Matthew loves the word ganache) and our cutting cake with the topper on it was our favorite flavor— Funfetti! Silly Sweet did the best job with our sweet treats.
And the last little bit of our day that meant the world to us was having such an awesome wedding coordinator. I would recommend She Said Yes to anyone and everyone needing some coordination assistance. They are amazing and you won’t be let down!
Thank you SO much to our parents, all of our amazing vendors, to all of my bridesmaids and to Matthew’s groomsman, to our families and friends that came to celebrate, and to every other person who was a part of this wedding or planning process. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
