I have been doing photography professionally for about three years now and I have explored so many different types of sessions, but the last year or so has really made me fall in love with branding sessions. I absolutely love working with different brands and companies to get their vision across to their audience through photos. This session with Bri of Color Her Confident was so much fun for me!
I want to give a little insight on how my branding sessions work— I have been slowly trying to change and adjust how I do these sessions, so that they are incredibly easy and 0% headache for my clients!
Before the session even starts, I schedule either a coffee meeting or phone call with my client so that we are able to chat about their hopes and dreams for the branding session. I have also been creating a list of (ever-changing) questions for my clients to answer that help me to understand what their brand/company is and how they want it to be portrayed to the world.
Then, I take to Pinterest to make a mood board that shows my goals for the content that we will create.
This was the main mood board for the branding session and then I made three smaller mood boards for the specific groups of photos Brianna was wanting.
We really wanted to find a unique way to show off the makeup brushes and still have greenery included, so this brush bouquet did the job perfectly.
Next, Bri needed new content for her website. We were able to artistically put makeup into these photos so that it would be simple enough for a website cover photo if need be.

Last, we needed to get some cute photos of Miss Bri herself! These were another option for her website cover photo and, if I may say so myself, these are my favorites!
She is the cutest.

And there you have it. This was one of my smaller branding sessions, but they can get REALLY big depending on how much content each brand/company needs. So if you’re trying to figure out how to get your brand portrayed in a fun, creative way, I want to hear from you to see how I can help!
