When Dressa + Tj booked their engagement session with me, I knew it was going to be oh so good. Dressa has so much style, so it was a given that their outfits were going to be amazing + they were wanting a very earthy, no shoes, just them, kind of session. And what we didn’t plan for— we got so lucky, as it was raining at the dry lake bed all morning making the ground a beautiful earthy red/orange color. Everything about this session came together perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.
Dressa + Tj are super adorable and have to do their relationship with distance every once in awhile because Tj plays baseball professionally + Dressa is working to become a Doctor. We had to make sure we got the session done before he had to head off to spring training, so even with the ominous forecast, we couldn’t reschedule. And wow, so excited we didn’t reschedule. It may have drizzled on us a bit, but it was SO worth it.
The green dress that Dressa wore was my absolute favorite. It was so unique and the color matched perfectly against the not-so-dry lake bed.
And then, she switched to the blue dress, which I also freaking loved. I am telling you, these colors just came together SO well. Sometimes I help my clients pick outfits, other times, they just know what they want. In this case, Dressa pulled it together beautifully by herself.
If you’re wanting to book a session but are nervous about picking outfits, don’t you worry. I always offer outfit picking help for my clients, in fact it is one of my favorite parts of the photoshoot process when you need help!
I couldn’t have loved these photos more and I am so excited for Dressa + Tj and their upcoming adventures! They were the sweetest couple and so comfortable in front of the camera, making my job so easy.
And I could shoot at the dry lake bed forever. + If you want to get your desert photoshoot on with me, click here and let’s make it happen!
