I have a few repeat branding clients that I get to shoot with each month and Shelby is one of them who never ceases to amaze me with the amount of effort and time she puts into all of her looks! I know you wouldn’t believe me, but Shelby is actually a tomboy at heart, who just so happens to know how to do the best makeup + put together the cutest, most on-brand outfits. Seriously, have you seen her instagram??!

Since Shelby uses most of these photos for her Instagram and general social media content, we always try to pick locations that have multiple areas for us to shoot around that have backgrounds consistent with her Instagram feed. It just so happens that Tivoli Village has multiple pink walls and architecture that goes perfectly with Shelby’s preppy 90’s styled outfits!

Makeup artistry is a true art and Shelby is SO gifted at this art. Macro shots of her eyeshadow looks + lashes are always my most favorites in these sets. I just love how all of the focus is in such a complex and beautiful spot! She also always has the most fun nails, custom designed by one of her friends + each set is custom made to match the specific outfits she has prepared for the session!

Bloggers + Fashion Influencers Tip 1: Bring a Bag!

One of the best pieces of advice I can give for bloggers and influencers that do photoshoots for content is to bring a bag— or 5. Bags are super helpful for multiple reasons, one of the most important being the solution to, “I don’t know what to do with my hands….”

Another way to use bags are to capture movement, to help get different angles, and to get more detail shots. You never know when you need a random background photo to use for an ad you are making/Insta story or to fill space on your website, and detail photos of bags are such a great option for this!

Bloggers + Fashion Influencers Tip 2: Bring Sunglasses!

Sunglasses are another way to fill your hands and to give yourself more posing options. + there are so many different kinds of sunglasses out there that you can easily find a pair of cheap sunglasses to match your photoshoot outfit.

Shelby is super great about sunglasses and she always brings multiple pairs for every outfit circumstance. I am telling you—the sunglasses make the photoshoot THAT much better! The following 4 photos were from the same photoshoot, I swear she has to own over 50 pairs of the world’s cutest glasses!

And finishing shoots with tie-dye + fur is the most Shelby thing you could do. Ahhhh she is just the cutest and I can’t even handle it!! Seriously it is such a blessing to know this sweet gal and y’all are just going to have to get used to seeing a whole bunch of her!
