This was my first Valley of Fire Elopement and I am so glad it was with Heather + Ivan— we had the best time dancing under the moon until sunset. The photos really showed off this beautiful couple + the stunner itself, Valley of Fire. Each time I get to return to Valley of Fire, my heart sings a little bit and I even think my camera smiles…
Also, I must note that Elopement Las Vegas is seriously amazing and if you are looking to Elope in Las Vegas or its beautiful, desert surroundings. Definitely hire them for all of your planning needs!
The drive to Valley of Fire is about an hour and twenty minutes from my house and at a certain point, the road gets pretty bumpy and windy— my couples have told me it looks like Hills Have Eyes (although I haven’t seen that movie… and can’t decide if I even should based on the number of times I am at Valley of Fire…). But anywayssss, the drive is gorgeous. You get to one last bend and then your view is opened up to be able to see your first glimpse of the reddest rocks and legit the valley part of Valley of Fire!
The specific location of Heather + Ivan’s Valley of Fire Elopement was The Cabins. You will see the cabins in the following photos. I really don’t know the story behind these random cabins, I have just not looked it up… but I’ll link info about them here!
One of these days, I will figure out the backstory, but for now, it is a nice mystery for me.
My favorite part about The Cabins is that there are so many areas to explore + there are scenic views all over the place. Including on the street that leads you to this area. The light is beautiful in this area at all times of the day, but my best recommendation would be to schedule your session or elopement at sunset! Especially if we are shooting on a day of the month when the moon is super big!
For these next ones, you would think that Heather and Ivan were SO far from me and that they hiked really far to get these views, but they didn’t! These views are easy to find, not too difficult to get to, and they make for the most amazing, epic photos that your family + friends are going to love to see! (especially if you left them all at home, make sure you share the view!)
Heather was such a beautiful bride and it was truly a gorgeous evening with an amazing dusty sunset. + Hopefully by this point I have convinced you to elope at the Valley of Fire! 😉
Have the best night dreaming about this sunset!
