Cece and Billy came to Las Vegas for their Rock n’ Roll Fremont Street rooftop elopement on the 6th floor of the El Cortez hotel and that sun shined through the city in the most celebratory way for these romantic love birds. I really am pretty emotional as a human, but the vows said between these two were enough to make anyone cry a pool. You’re really going to have to see what I mean for yourself. Capturing Cece + Billy’s love story was such a treat, and complete with pizza, beer, and the Fremont Street show, it was a perfect night.
When I got word that these babes wanted a downtown Fremont Street elopement, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. Luckily, they were down and it ended up being the best spot for them. They didn’t bring any guests, so accessibility wasn’t an issue and we were able to go to such a private spot, which is just what they wanted. (Well it was private at first… we gathered a mini audience of about 7 on a little balcony above us because it was so romantic!)
At the time we all arrived to start the ceremony, the sun started dropping just between all of the tall hotels and buildings on Fremont Street and the surrounding areas and it was so dreamy. + it is August and it really wasn’t THAT hot. I think I am giving the credit for the cooler weather to the rooftop. We love rooftop elopements, oh yes we do.
They said, I do, had their first kiss and then danced off into the sunset all giddy. Some of my favorite ceremony photos during elopements always come when the bride and groom have their first married kiss and then take a moment alone to really soak it in. There are always hugs and usually more kisses, and even some booty grabs thrown in. And the photos are always so perfect.
These two are so sweet and their love for each other showed hard.
After all of the official work is done, elopements really get fun because we get to do whatever you want to do. My number one reason you should have a Fremont Street elopement is because once we’re done, we get to walk around showing off you and your new official boo thang, and you get to have people cheer for you for the rest of the night and give you free things.
When Cece, Billy, and I left the El Cortez Rooftop, we didn’t have a plan, and that ended up being the best plan.
So my husband and I may have been known in the past to enjoy a cocktail followed by a slice of pizza around 3am and our place of choice for this activity is Evil Pie.
As we walked by on our trek to the Fremont Street Experience, I asked if Cece and Billy were up for a beer and some pizza. They accepted. We walked in.
The entire restaurant clapped and cheered. The bar gave them shots. Random bystanders tried to buy them more shots.
If you like celebrations, eloping in Las Vegas is the place to be. Convincing you really shouldn’t be too hard. 😉
After we were full of pizza, we adventured a little further to see all of the lights on Fremont. This was actually the first time I had seen the lights on since before everything got shut down, so it was so fun to walk around under all of the color and music! + it gave us a chance to get those super “Vegas” shots you want when you come elope here!
When we started walking back, we got to the intersection at Las Vegas Boulevard and someone noticed that Cece and Billy had just gotten married and started clapping, which naturally led to the rest of the humans at the intersection all clapping and cheering for the newlyweds. It was so much fun and they were loving their lil bit of fame. I told them to make sure to keep their wedding attire on allll night to see how many free drinks they could work up.
They did one better. Later that night, I got a text from Cece saying that someone had them stop and wait so they could give them $100 from the ATM.
So like I said…. are you convinced to come elope with me yet? Las Vegas is waiting and this photographer will welcome you with open arms (except from a 6ft distance in current times, ya know.)
The last photos we got were under the El Cortez with all of its lights on and these two lovers looking like models. I had the best evening and it was such a dream capturing Cece + Billy’s love story.
