Even in the heat of the summer, I am always up for a Valley of Fire Elopement— you really can’t beat the scenic views that the Valley of Fire has to offer. + a lot of times, my brides and grooms not from Vegas think that Red Rock is the place to go for red rock. Incorrect. You want to be at Valley of Fire. These are the most red rocks I’ve ever seen, full of hikes, slot canyons, amazing views, and just enough wildlife for this not-too-adventurous human. We spent the evening having cake and popping champagne, and of course ended with some gorgeous views as the sun started to dip below the mountains.
Hands-down, the best time for a Valley of Fire elopement is going to be right before sunset. When the light starts to dip below the mountains, the valley looks like no other! And it is always nice to have shade on the rocks to really capture their true color. Mots times, in the middle of the day, it gets very bright (AND HOT!) Destiny and Scott decided to elope at sunset and luckily it wasn’t even too hot outside, especially for the beginning of September! JK. I bet Scott would feel differently about that statement. hahah
I just loved the bouquet that was put together by City Blossoms and the cutest bar cart styled by Elopement Las Vegas. Since the guest count for this Valley of Fire Elopement was so small, we were able to set some chairs up on the rocks so that Destiny and Scott’s family could be close enough to hear the ceremony and their vows. It was so quaint and perfect.
One of my favorite parts about Elopement Las Vegas is when they set up little cake displays for brides and grooms! And even better, champagne toasts. + I am sure y’all already can guess, champagne pops are my favorite photos. I actually request for my couples to try and hit me with the champagne.
Champagne shower, one might say??
Just keep scrolling a bit and you’ll see why these are my favs for celebratory Vegas Elopement photos.
After we do cake and champagne with the family, I always steal my couple away to go run around for a bit, I mean, that is why you choose Valley of Fire Elopements right? If you are down to get your wedding dress train a little red, then a Valley of Fire Elopement is perfect for you— it adds character to the dress anyways. 😉 Destiny + Scott definitely got their hike on, whether they expected it or not. But again, photos were freaking worth the extra heat! And again, Scott may have a different opinion on this one. hahahah
And always my favorites from these Valley of Fire elopements— the scenic hiking shots. It always happens right as the sun is going down and the photos are always GOLD. If you are adventurous in any way, these shots are pretty easy to make happen. And that is coming from someone who absolutely does NOT claim to love adventures. But I will go on adventures any day for my adventurous babes— that’s freaking love, people.
Destiny was absolutely adorable and sported her cowboy boots under her wedding dress, so we had to make sure to finish our session getting photos of her shoes. + she’s a MODEL, see for yourself!
It was the best time hanging with Destiny + Scott. Seriously it was a dream, they have the kindest souls.
The cherry on top, Destiny left me with a card that was so beautifully decorated with lemons and flowers and it was so full of gratitude. Like what?! 1) ON BRAND 2) I am over here so grateful for HER, and she gave me that. It is currently on my fridge and I don’t think it’s ever leaving.
Thank you for the best night, Destiny + Scott. I wish we could do your Valley of Fire elopement over and over and over.
XO
Ashlyn
