Part 1 of this Velveteen Rabbit Elopement was at the Neon Museum (at this location!), but part two brought this sweet couple to the Velveteen Rabbit for a reception full of their best friends and family. AND they had a bunch of surprises for their guests.
First, you must know that Cris and Ryan both LOVE April Fools Day. Meaning, they had to get married on April Fools Day and include a ton of pranks throughout the reception. This is why there are a few photos that don’t exactly make sense at your typical Las Vegas elopement. 😂
Cris and Ryan got to the Velveteen Rabbit before their guests to set up and make sure everything was in place. Truthfully, though, they did not need to do much. The staff at the Velveteen Rabbit is so amazing and the space itself is so unique, it really doesn’t need much decoration.
The Velveteen Rabbit has two different parts to it that are both incredibly unique, perfect settings for celebrations. The outside area is full of patio tables and chairs with colorful umbrellas and a photo booth. At sunset, the light shined through so beautifully, which made this the cutest cocktail hour lounge area.
Then, take a few steps inside, and you’re transported to a completely different world! The bar and lounge areas are so nice and filled with vintage, velvet chairs and couches. + they have a DJ stand and dance floor, making it a perfect space for a wedding reception– especially if you want a FUN celebration. 🎉
One of my favorite parts of this evening was when the bride’s step-dad surprised everyone in a full Elvis costume. + Her maid of honor showed up as a showgirl. The two put on a hilarious, April Fools themed performance for the guests and it did not dissapoint.
This Velveteen Rabbit elopement really was so much fun, and all of the guests had a wonderful time. If you’re in need of a space to have your wedding or elopement reception, look into the Velveteen Rabbit. They have options for open bar, outside caterers, and a wonderful staff all around.
