My Photography Style | High Fashion/Editorial x Creative Lifestyle | Las Vegas Photographer

So I kind of think I made this up, the whole “high fashion x creative lifestyle” thing in my brain and it’s probably not real at all. But this is where I consider my photography to be and I love it. Being a little bit in both of these worlds allows me to achieve a high fashion, magazine cover feel, but it also allows for more lifestyle/lovey-dovey-feely photos in the SAME gallery. Yes— I do both!

For example— Here are some side-by-sides that show photos from the same weddings/sessions that are completely different moods. And yes, basically all of these people doubted their abilities in front of the camera when we started.

Common Fears

Here are some of the things I hear the most from clients:

“We really are not that high fashion…”

All of my galleries feature both kinds of images, but this is fully dependent on your moods and the way you interact with me. If you are a goofy couple that smiles and laughs and cannot keep a straight face to save your lives, your gallery is not going to be full of unnatural serious faces! But, you might unknowingly move in a way that creates an editorial looking photo and you won’t even know it until you see your gallery.

“I am SO awkward!!”

Ooooh if I had a dollar for every time I heard that. And if I had another dollar for every time it wasn’t true!! Photoshoots are meant to be fun, so as long as you’re willing to try weird things and have fun with me, you’re going to look super natural, and trust me— you will surprise yourself!

I vibe off of you, so the more you try, the more weird things you do, and the more you emotionally and physically invest into your time with me, the more you are going to get out of it.

Moral of the Story

1. Show up with confidence! Just be you because the camera loves YOU.

2. The more weird things you do (ex. dancing in front of the camera, moving your arms around in different ways), the cooler your photos are going to be. You have to get adventurous!

3. Have fun with it. It’s your time to feel super beautiful/handsome/awesome in general. If you got it, flaunt it.
